The Open Process Automation Standard (O-PAS) is bringing home the bacon.
After the first couple weeks at a new job, everyone gets their first paycheck, and it’s a good day. Well, the “standard of standards” and its real-world applications are at the same stage—generating actual revenue and earning a living.
And just like a long job search, after eight years of development and testing, O-PAS has achieved its goal of plug-and-play process automation and control, but its benefits don’t end there. Its interoperability allows much simpler and faster network links, which let users design and build process applications, interfaces and systems far more quickly, as well as add devices and scale up applications more easily, too.
