Stackable, compact, motion-focused PLCs with Ethernet, serial and USB ports
XGB stackable, compact PLCs from LS Electric have IEC programming, two- or six-axis pulse/direction motion I/O (up to 200kHz), and include Ethernet, serial and USB ports. Any of the four PLC units can serve as a standalone controller with 32 built-in I/O, or add up to seven expansion modules for up to 244 additional I/O points. Several expansion modules are available to add extra discrete, communication, analog or motion control capacity.
Their XG5000 programming software is a free download, and features four of the five languages in the IEC 61131 standard for industrial controllers. Ladder diagram, instruction list, sequential function chart and structured text are included. This software supports typical PLC instructions, including timer, counter, compare, etc. However, XG5000 features specialized instructions for code development. More than 700 convenient function blocks are provided for programming complex systems. A handy, built-in project simulator is also available to assist with code verification.
