FlowWave Type 8098 flowmeter uses a patented, surface acoustic wave (SAW) process that has no installed fittings or constrictions, which means there are no empty spaces in the measurement tube. This allows it to perform measurements without any contact between the sensor elements and the medium, so liquids can’t affect the sensor elements, and the sensors can’t contaminate the medium. This is hygienic, simplifies the cleaning process, and helps users meet strict standards and legal requirements for hygiene and cleaning. In fluidic terms, because its measuring tube is identical to every other straight tube section in a system, Type 8098 also avoids pressure drops.
