Friends in High Places

This just came in over the transom (actually in email. Nobody in publishing really has a transom anymore, but using the phrase makes us all feel like we're in one of those cool old 1940s movies when Humphrey Bogart was the editor and Barbara Stanwyck was the girl reporter.)

SpectraSensors is the industry’s leading global provider of laser-based analysis solutions used by progressive natural gas and petrochemical companies to ensure the highest levels of process efficiency while simultaneously reducing costs, saving energy and protecting the environment. 
 
The company attributes its growth to rising energy prices and increased automation in the energy industry. SpectraSensors is part of a new breed of energy infrastructure and management companies whose solutions can be used in a range of clean tech applications, such as enhanced detection of CO2 levels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, monitoring of atmospheric moisture to increase airline fuel efficiency, and collecting and transporting methane gas as a clean energy source.
