To further strengthen its U.S. market presence, Endress+Hauser reported Oct. 17 that it's planning to build a more than 100,000 sq.-ft. Gulf Coast Regional Center Campus in Pearland, Texas, just outside Houston. The campus will be located in Pearland’s lower Kirby District, close to the firm's oil and gas customers. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2019 and finish by the end of 2020.
“Our recent investments and campus expansions in the U.S. demonstrate our commitment to support our customers,” says Todd Lucey, general manager of Endress+Hauser USA. “The new facilities enable us to improve our services, strategically develop and manage additional growth as well as expand our competencies across the industries we serve.”
The new campus will include areas for calibration, repair and training space, which will include a new process training unit (PTU). It will also house the global marketing and applications group for SpectraSensors’ gas analysis business, and contain office space for approximately 110 employees including Endress+Hauser’s sales and service provider, Vector Controls & Automation Group.
In similar news, Endress+Hauser reported Oct. 29 that it's invested more than 10.4 million euros in a new, state-of-the-art production facility at its location in Nesselwang, Germany. The 4,800-square-meter building contains new production and office space in addition to technology and common rooms. With the expansion, the Endress+Hauser Group is making further investments in sustainable growth.
The expansion was driven by the growing demand for innovative temperature technology and system products, as well as the introduction of new product lines.
“We're constantly investing in our centers of competence in order to develop persuasive solutions for our customers and to increase production efficiency,” said Matthias Altendorf, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group, during the Oct. 26 dedication ceremony.
In many processes, temperature is a measurement parameter with a major influence on product quality. “We'll continue to expand and round out our temperature and system product portfolio so that we can be in a position to optimally serve our customers in the future as well. To do that, we need additional space for research and development, production, logistics and quality assurance, which this new building provides,” said Harald Hertweck, managing director of the Endress+Hauser center of competence for temperature measurement technology.
