Hesai Technology announced June 19 that NavVis picked it as its exclusive light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensor supplier for its NavVis VLX 3 wearable, mobile imaging system that enables efficient scan-to-building information model (BIM) workflows. NavVix provides detailed reality capture and digital factory solutions.
NavVis VLX 3 lets users capture and analyze intricate environments to create BIMs. The system will use Hesai’s XT32M2X lidar sensor that have a 120-meter range, accuracy with 32 laser channels and reliability.
"We’re thrilled to partner with NavVis," says Bob in den Bosch, senior sales VP at Hesai. "NavVis has demonstrated a commitment to pushing the boundaries of reality-capture technology. This collaboration allows us to combine our expertise and revolutionize the way complex environments are captured and analyzed".
NavVis cofounder and CTO, Georg Schroth, adds, "Hesai Technology has delivered the exact lidar sensor that we need to provide survey-grade quality to our customers. By integrating their technology into our mobile mapping system, NavVis VLX 3, we can deliver an even more powerful and efficient solution."
