To expand its motor services capabilities, ABB reported Nov. 10 that it’s acquired Spring Point Solutions, a software as a service (SaaS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider. The purchase includes a customer relationship management tool and equipment/quality management system tailored to motor repair facilities, which will provide greater operational efficiency to shops that sell and repair ABB products.
The company reports this acquisition is part of ABB Motion Services’ effort to enhance its presence in the motor services industry. Spring Point has about 15 employees and is based in Portland, Maine.
