Motive Offshore Group reported Jan. 28 that it’s opened a new office in Houston, following a fourfold increase in available equipment. The company rents inspection, engineering, marine and lifting devices for the onshore and offshore oil and gas, renewables, marine and decommissioning industries. It adds that its expansion will support increasing customer demands and allow continued growth.
The new hub will increase and reinforce Motive’s local capabilities due to its recent acquisitions and equipment relocation. The company is also recruiting for its onshore and offshore teams, and plans to increase its staff by 75% in the coming year.
“Our new Houston office expands our asset base, enhances our capabilities across the Americas, and brings assets closer to our clients,” says Jonathan Watt, Motive’s newly appointed regional director for the Americas. “This not only meets energy-sector demands, but also aligns with U,S. regulations, such as the Jones Act that governs maritime operations."
