Siemens' 2014 Automation Summit, will be held in Orlando on June 23-26, 2014. This year's theme is "Community. Experiences. Productivity."
Both registration and a call for papers is now open, with more than 50 breakout sessions of best practice sharing planned for the Summit. The Summit is designed to provide engineering and operational professionals, automation and operations management and senior-level executives with end user learning opportunities covering the automation space – from process and discrete to motion control and drives.
Eric Alexander, a skier, climber and mountaineer will be this year's keynote speaker. Mr. Alexander will share his inspirational and motivation stories, including guiding a blind friend to the summit of Mount Everest.
Track sessions included topics such as best practice and novel approaches, energy and asset management, maintenance and operations, productivity and efficiency and safety and industrial security.
Siemens will kick off the first night of the conference with its successful Connect Event, welcoming attendees to BYOD (bring your own device), whether it be an iPad, iPhone, or any other mobile device. Being held on the first night gives attendees the opportunity to build, connect and maintain relationships among users and solution partners throughout the four day conference.
Siemens experts will also be on-hand in the Technology Café, offering hands-on overviews of Siemens portfolio of products and services, including Totally Integrated Automation, automation and instrumentation technologies, energy management, power monitoring and power distribution solutions.
Siemens will also announce its Customer Excellence Awards, recognizing the company's top end user, OEM, and solution partner for the innovative application of Siemens products and solutions.
