Cogent DataHub, V.11, has integrated a security model for real-time access to process data. By supporting lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) and time-based one-time password (TOTP)—and adding a data diode mode—this networking software makes secure, outbound connections through firewalls. This isolates OT networks, supports DMZ architectures, and establishes secure cloud connections. Cogent DataHub lets users configure security accounts from a local Windows software device or external LDAP server, as well as authenticate using TOTP. It also differentiates user-access permissions by connection source, and create custom roles and permission sets.
