CableMaster FO is a dedicated, pocket-sized, Power over Ethernet (PoE) power meter and cable tester, which can measure seven different wavelengths in decibels (dB) using an attenuation meter. Power can be measured in decibel-milliwatts (dBm), dB or milliwatts (mW) to determine signal strength. This optical power meter also includes a visual fault locator for port and polarity detection.
CabeMaster FO also has a flashlight to illuminate dark wiring cabinets, USB-rechargeable, 80-hour battery, and includes a copper, RJ45, patch cord tester for checking wire maps. All measurements are easily readable on the its digital display.
After a LinkXpert M3 fiber-optic network infrastructure tester is hooked up to inject a light source into the fiber, CableMaster FO can measure attenuation at the other end of the cable. It can also read the power of any fiber line with a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) connection.
