Ye Yingman, chief engineer for Shanghai SECCO, discussed the use of FOUNDATION fieldbus diagnostics that have allowed the petrochemical company to slash valve alarms by 65% and process variability by 66%. Pre-shutdown analysis also has reduced valve repair cost during turnarounds by 49%--and shortened outage time.
