Navigator Z1 advanced, intrinsically safe (IS) head-mounted, smart glasses have received their official ATEX/IECx IS certification, following RealWear’s collaboration with consultant i.safe Mobile. This hand-free computing solution is powered by a Qualcomm SnapDragon 6490 chipset with a built-in advanced AI engine, which is also the foundation for RealWear’s broader AI Core vision for frontline workers.
Because oil and gas production environments can be extremely noisy, Navigator Z1 ensures voice recognition for fully hands-free use up to 100 dBA. Its modular design also enables customization, including the ability to add an IS-certified thermal camera and a swappable battery. In fact, Navigator Z1 is integrating a thermal camera module from Flir, which will be available in March 2024.
