We all mourn the passing of Franklyn Kirk. Franklyn or Frank as we all knew him was born on July 25, 1918 and passed away quickly on Saturday December 29th in his apartment in Rocky River, Ohio at the age of 94.

He was a friend to all and a mentor to many. He was willing to help anyone who came to him. That was for technical consultation or just someone you needed to talk to as things come up in business and life in general.

It goes without saying he was a brilliant man of great intellect and an even greater curiosity. He was also a very kind and gentle man to me.

One of Franklyn's passions was the Cleveland ISA Section. He was one of the original members of the Cleveland section. He also was deeply involved and encouraged his children to participate in the organization. In fact one of his daughters Harriet Radvansky is still on the Cleveland board and is heavily involved to this day. His son Philip was also a member of the Cleveland section. In fact the Franklyn Kirk Company among other Rep firms in Cleveland has been the glue that has held the Cleveland section together over the years.

Frank's memorial was held on January 17th at the Lakewood Congregational Church. It was amazing to see the entire Cleveland ISA board attend including several ISA dignitaries from as far as Rochester, New York (Mario Cash and his dear wife Amie). Others were from as far away as Washington state. The church was packed with relatives and friends. It was an impressive display of how much Franklyn meant to all of us.

"We will all miss our dear friend and find peace and comfort in knowing his heart has been reunited with his beloved Anne." He will be missed but not forgotten.
