Honeywell launched Jan. 24 its new website with optimized online experience, intuitive navigation, seamless e-commerce capabilities and easier access to account information.

Valmet Oy reported Jan. 26 that it will supply its DNA automation system to Turun Seudun Energiantuotanto Oy’s (www.tset.fi) 40-MW, biomass-fired heating plant in Oriketo, Finland. Valmet added Jan. 25 that it's also agreed to replace legacy DCSs with DNA at Mercer International’s (mercerint.com) Peace River pulp mill in Alberta and Celgar pulp mill in British Columbia, Canada.

Industrial Flow Solutions announced Jan. 26 that it's agreed to acquire Dreno Pompe (drenopompe.it), an Italian designer and manufacturer of electric, submersible pumps for wastewater applications. This acquisition follows Industrial Flow Solutions' October 2021 acquisition of Scotland-based Clearwater Controls.

Allied Valve reported Jan. 18 that it's expanded its brands and services by buying Power Specialties Inc., Promac Inc. and JMI Instrument Co. The three companies will merge to form Allied Instrumentation, which will cover seven states in the U.S. Midwest, including Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Allied Instrumentation will represent products from Yokogawa, MSA/General Monitors, nVent Raychem, Ametek Drexelbrook, Flexim and TASI Group.

Motion sensor supplier Fraba reported Jan. 26 that it's opening a new manufacturing facility in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The new plant will begin manufacturing operations this coming spring.
