Mouser will split formerly combined CEO and president roles

Mouser Electronics Inc. reported Nov. 18 that it’s promoted Jeff Newell to the position of president. He assumed his new role on Jan. 1, and is just the third president in the company’s history. At the same time, the jobs of Mouser’s president and CEO will be split, with Glenn Smith continuing as CEO.

"With the dedication and support of countless employees, Mouser has grown from $10 million in sales when I became president in 1988 to more than $3 billion in revenues today," says Smith.

Newell joined Mouser in 2013 as SVP of products. He has more than 30 years of experience in semiconductor sales, distribution, international business development and management.

"Jeff has delivered great results here at Mouser," adds Smith. "His experience and judgment will further strengthen Mouser's global position globally. I’m confident in his leadership, commitment to our business, and his ability to drive the company to succeed.”
